City of Humble okays zoning for CDI company

At its Nov. 8 meeting, the Humble City Council approved the city’s participation in the Texas Enterprise Zone Program which pertains to the manufacturing company, CDI. This arrangement will allow the city to increase the property tax in the area around CDI.
Mayor Merle Aaron said, “This new zoning will allow CDI to get some reimbursement back from the state in the form of a tax rebate. If they can get some money back from the state, it will allow us to increase the property tax in that area. This will help the city because the property tax in Humble is extremely low.”
