The Silverado is getting a big update for the 2019 model and it will be hitting the showrooms in the next few months. Some of the biggest changes come in the form of aluminum body panels. Chevy switched the four doors, hood and tailgate from steel to aluminum and saved 450 pounds from the truck when factoring in a few other small weight changes. The truck did not get smaller; the bed is actually slightly larger and the back seat is bigger as well.
