Grassroots efforts grow to call for San Jacinto River changes
The new Lake Houston Area Grassroots Flood Prevention Initiative group met Friday, Feb. 16 at the Kingwood Community Center. The group is co-chaired by residents Bill Fowler and Dianne Lansden and was organized specifically to prevent future flooding in the Lake Houston area. Given the existence of so many flood-related groups in the area, and so many residents desperate for information, this grassroots group was formed to be the unified voice for Kingwood residents on the issues.
