Houston Police report significant drop in Kingwood crime in 2018

At the Kingwood Service Association (KSA) Public Safety Committee meeting Jan. 9, Houston Police Officer Daniel Von Quintus opened his monthly crime report with the statement that crime in Kingwood was down. He said, “These two crime reports (November and December 2018) are the lowest two months of reported crimes that I can remember since coming to the Kingwood Division of the Houston Police Department (HPD).”
Von Quintus went into the summary of statistics by area and village and highlighted the fact that the numbers were down across the board and the most active crime areas continue to be the commercial and high-density traffic areas such as those along or near U.S. Highway 59.
