As Kingwood Divisionβs Lt. Daniel Von Quintus of the Houston Police Department (HPD) began to present his routine monthly crime report to the Kingwood Service Association Public Safety Committee April 12, Bicycle Patrol Sgt. James Pavlu asked Von Quintus if he could make an announcement. First, he thanked the committee for providing money to buy an additional bicycle, including parts and extra tires for the Kingwood bike patrol unit. Then Pavlu made a second announcement.
βI know you all are aware that I am the bike sergeant. I am also the DRT, or differential response team, sergeant. We have expanded the team and please meet Officer A.R. Rodriguez,β said Pavlu.
He explained that after formal training classes, Rodriguez would go to the Northeast Division for two weeks of actual experience and be certified. Starting May 1, she will be assigned to Kingwood and will be doing what Von Quintus does. βSo we will have two Officer Von Quintuses,β Pavlu said in jest. Read full article at OurTribune.com
