HPD cracking down on cutting through parking lots

On April 11 in the South Woodland Hills community room, the Kingwood Service Association's Public Safety committee heard from several Houston police officers.
Officer Jacob Atkins explained there is a growing problem of drivers cutting through lots to bypass traffic in Kingwood. There have been many times where drivers have almost hit people walking in these lots. The Walgreens, at the intersection of Woodland Hills and Northpark, and the Shell gas station at Northpark and West Lake Houston, will be watched and any driver caught cutting through will be fined. After sitting out on one day, the officers gave out 32 citations in 30 minutes.
