After a long and comprehensive discussion at its July 26 meeting, the Huffman ISD Board of Trustees unanimously voted down a proposed solution to boost student attendance for revenue purposes. The proposal was the result of a small but unexpected shortfall in student enrollment recently even as the district is expected to continue to grow over the long term. As a result, state and federal revenues are reduced, and that adversely affects the operating budget.
