Humble Area Teen Is Wounded During Attempted Home Invasion
A 17-year-old teen was shot when several men wearing ski masked forced their way into his apartment, police said.

HUMBLE, TX — A 17-yewar-old is recovering after he was shot by two masked men who forced their way into his apartment Monday night, police said. The attempted home invasion happened at about 8:30 p.m.at the Eagle Crest Apartment complex in the 5300 block of Atascocita Road.
Police said the teen was at home with his brother when someone knocked at the door. When the teen’s brother answered the door, several men wearing gloves and masks, force their way inside and started demanding belongings.
The teens said the men fired several shots in the living room. One of the men went into one of the bedrooms where he found the 17-year-old teen, and shot him once in the pelvis.

The man took off, but it is not known if they got away with anything from the apartment. The teen was taken to an area hospital and is expected to recover.
The home invaders are still at large.
