Humble City Council sets election date

At its Feb. 9 meeting, the Humble City Council set the election date for two council member places and the mayor's race.

At its Feb. 9 meeting, the Humble City Council set the election date for two council member places and the mayor’s race.
The election will be held May 1 and will be held jointly with the election of Humble ISD board members, which has four seats up for election.
Four candidates have filed to run for city positions. The current mayor, Merle Aaron, has filed for the mayor position. Andy Curry has filed, as the incumbent, for city council place 1 and Ray Calfee has filed, as the incumbent, for place 2. In addition, Ross Lee Adkins has filed for place 1 in which he will be contesting Curry.
