Humble ISD Recognizes Merit Scholar Finalists
The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates thirteen 2017 National Merit Scholarship Finalists.

HUMBLE, TX --The Humble ISD Board of Trustees recognized thirteen Merit Scholar Finalists at the April 11 Board of Trustees meeting.
National Merit Finalists have the opportunity to earn one of 7,400 National Merit Scholarships and are selected based on their abilities, skills and accomplishments.
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation will begin announcing winners on April 19 and conclude in July.
These students entered the 2017 National Merit Scholarship competition by taking the PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) in October 2015 – a test taken by approximately 1.6 million students each year.

Less than one percent of high school seniors in the nation become Finalists. Humble ISD’s National Merit Scholarship finalists are: from Atascocita High School - Rachel Archer; from Kingwood High School – Luke Barrett, Mathew Cavnar-Johnson, Samuel Cavnar-Johnson, Ryan Elo, Jackson Fuja, Gaurav Gawankar, Ronan Padhye, Andrew Wambaugh, Riley Wilson; from Kingwood Park High School – Hannah Hoffman, Gregory Mika and Gabriel Zolton.
