
Conrad has a masterβs degree in educational technology from Arizona State University and 14 years in public education, teaching math and as part of the Humble ISD Instructional Technology department. Conrad chairs the Superintendent Evaluation Committee and serves on several other board committees, and has earned the designation of βMaster Trusteeβ from Leadership TASB. Conrad has participated in Leadership Lake Houston and is an instructional designer for Insperity.
Candidate for Position 3 Christopher D. Herron fervently believes in the necessity of a dynamic public school system, and will focus on using public financial resources to support public schools and make investments in teachers and infrastructure. He believes Humble ISD must achieve empowered and well-equipped students who can compete on a global scale and schools that are incubators of ideas and diversity and deliver results beyond just the number of students who βpassβ standardized tests. Herron has a history degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA from SMUβs Cox School of Business. He is a business development manager for NRG Energy Services and has had a global career that has spanned the energy, telecom and industrial manufacturing industries, where he has led major capital projects, acquisitions and investments for entrepreneurial start-ups and Fortune 100 international companies at home and abroad in England, Mexico and Denmark.
