Humble to support application for flood protection grant
On June 28, the Humble City Council unanimously voted to support a San Jacinto River Authority (SJRA) application to the Texas Water Development Board for a Flood Protection Grant. Before the vote was taken, Mayor Merle Aaron noted the importance of the project to Humble.
“We on the Council need to do all that we can do to make sure that Humble is represented,” said Aaron. “This is what this (vote) is for and this is to let everyone know that everything that happens in our area, we want to be a part of it.”
