Illegal Massage Parlor Leads To Atascocita Woman's Arrest: Police

ATASCOCITA — There may have been more than massages happening inside a home in Atascocita. On Wednesday, deputy constables arrested a 54-year-old woman they say was running an illegal massage parlor and a suspected brothel out of her home.

Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said in a press release that investigators in his office had received several complaints about a spike in traffic at a home in the 7200 block of Lonesome Woods Trail.

Investigators launched an under cover operation and investigators discovered Nancy Camacho was operating an illicit massage parlor out of her home.

Undercover investigators spoke with some of the clients, who gave written statements to police alleging lot more than massages were taking place in the home.

According to investigators, there was enough evidence collected that indicated illicit activities were taking place inside the home which violated the Harris County Sexually Oriented Business Regulations.

"These type of businesses, either as a store front or in a neighborhood, have been proven to bring additional crime into the area," Herman said. "This one is especially troubling due to its close proximity to Atascocita Middle School and the hours of operation coinciding with the kids walking to and from school in front of the residence."

Camacho was arrested, charged with operating a massage parlor without a license and booked into the Harris County Jail. Her bond is set at $1,000.
