The headliner at the Houston Police Departments’s Positive Interaction Program April 17 was an “Explosive Detection Canine.” People who were seated chatted among themselves until the speakers made their way to the front of the room, boot stomps and paw patters included.
Officer Jesse Rodriguez introduced himself and his dog, Cclore, to the audience. Cclore is a 6-year-old Belgian malinois K-9 unit from San Antonio. Rodriguez has had him for three-and-a-half years and says he was named after a 9-1-1 victim.
