Kingwood crime down from June

At the Aug. 8 Kingwood Service Association Public Safety meeting, Officer D.P. Von Quintus of the Houston Police Department's Kingwood Division reported that crime statistics in Kingwood for the month of July were significantly lower than in June. There were two aggravated assaults, nine auto thefts, 15 burglaries of motor vehicles, 17 burglaries, 11 incidents of criminal mischief, one fraud incident, four robberies, two sex offenses, two sexual assaults, 34 thefts, and three thefts of a motor vehicle. This totaled 100 incidents, which is 39 less than the month before.
