Kingwood Super Neighborhood meeting - high-rise concerns

Kingwood Super Neighborhood meeting dominated by high-rise concerns

The specific agenda was not what was on the minds of many who attended the Kingwood Area Super Neighborhood Council meeting Jan. 16. What was on their minds was the idea of a real-estate proposal that includes a 500-foot, high-rise building and a marina along the San Jacinto River near River Grove Park. The proposed project and the Army Corps of Engineers’ public notice calling for public comments permeated into almost every topic of discussion on Chairman Stan Sarman’s written agenda.
Guest speaker Capt. Rose Terry, commander of the Kingwood Division of the Houston Police Department, provided an update to the council about current crime in Kingwood and the state of the Kingwood Division.
