The primary order of business at the May 9 Kingwood Service Association Public Safety Committee meeting was to meet the new captain in charge of the Kingwood station of the Houston Police Department (HPD). Kingwood’s Bike Patrol Sgt. James Pavlu made the introduction.
“We have a new captain. Her name is Rose Terry and she has been with HPD 32 years,” Pavlu said. He explained that Terry had actually been assigned to Kingwood a couple of months earlier but scheduling conflicts had prevented her from being introduced at the April committee meeting.
