Kingwood Woman Dies In Apartment Fire
Firefighters responding to an apartment fire at the Bala Wood Apartments, found a woman's body inside the burning apartment
KINGWOOD, TX -- An early morning fire claimed the life of a Kingwood woman on Friday.
Firefighters were called to the Bala Wood Apartments on Kingwood Drive, shortly after midnight.
When firefighters arrived immediately saw the heavy smoke coming from the multi-story apartment, KHOU reported.

When firefighters got into the apartment, the found the woman near the front door, and managed to ge3t into a waiting ambulance.

She was taken to a nearby hospital, and was later pronounced dead.
No other apartment units were affected, officials said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
