Local actress finding her way in Hollywood

Sadie Brook is the professional name of an up-and-coming actress who grew up in Kingwood and is now living out her dream in California. Sadie Brook Canion was a varsity cheerleader and captain in Kingwood Park High School's Class of 2015. She attended Oak Forest Elementary and Kingwood Middle schools. Her home is now in Los Angeles, where her parents, Serena and Ken Canion, and two younger brothers, Brody and Carter, also live.“I love living in Los Angeles,” Brook said. “It has been a lifelong dream of mine and it felt like a natural step to move here. What’s special about my story is that I was lucky enough to have parents who supported me so much that we all moved together. I have two little brothers that are 11 (almost 12) and 13. They don’t act often but, yes, they’ve both actually been in movies themselves. We have an 8-year-old cocker spaniel who is a rescue from Kingwood and he’s the sweetest, laziest dog ever.”
