Local volleyball teams compete at Adidas John Turner Classic

This past weekend, 88 teams competed at the Adidas John Turner Classic in Pearland, the nation’s largest high school volleyball tournament.
Of those 88 teams, several of them were area volleyball schools; Kingwood, Kingwood Park and Summer Creek all competed in this tournament.
Of the three area schools, Kingwood Park and Kingwood both advanced to the tournament’s Gold Bracket. The Mustangs started off strong with two straight wins. Against Ursuline Academy, they took the match in three sets, 25-19, 21-25, 25-19.
