Martin asks for help as Imelda arrives to emphasize his request

Kingwood’s Houston City Councilman Dave Martin spent most of the Kingwood Super Neighborhood Council’s Sept. 18 meeting updating the council about dredging the San Jacinto River and the overall flood recovery accomplished since Hurricane Harvey struck two years ago. It was a comprehensive report with a lot of good news about all that has been accomplished, including the practice of lowering lake levels at both Lake Houston and Lake Conroe in advance of hurricane season and other anticipated rain events. He also highlighted the approved commitment to building new water release gates at the Lake Houston Dam in the next 36 months.
