Mayor retains seat, Carney unseated by newcomer

Saturday, May 7 was Election Day, where voters decided who would be the next mayor of Humble as well as who would fill two seats with the Humble ISD Board of Trustees.
City of Humble Mayor Merle Aaron handily beat out Arliss Bentley to retain his position with 69% of the votes. A total of 565 out of 7,876 registered voters, or 7.35%, voted in the mayoral election.
