The Kingwood High School boys' basketball team closed out the 2016-17 regular season with a victory on the road and now sets its sights on the playoffs.
Chase Lovins scored 10 points and Brandon Burrell hauled in 16 rebounds to help the Mustangs take care of Goose Creek Memorial, 38-31, early last week in the regular season finale. Matt Charles and Ubong Nwoko were also among the key contributors, scoring eight and seven points respectively.
