Out and About - "The Chamber celebrated 95 years ..."

The Lake Houston Area Chamber celebrated 95 years on Friday, Jan. 25 with the installation of their new board chair and directors at the annual Awards Extravaganza, a celebration of the past year’s outstanding volunteer leaders and accomplishments. The event featured the presentation of the Dr. Haden McKay Citizen of the Year Award, Spirit of the Chamber Award, and the Rising Star Award as well as honoring the 2018 board and committee leaders. The celebration kicked off with an honoree reception allowing guests to meet and mingle with the 2018 award winners. Congratulations to the honorees: Jerry Martin-Spirit of the Chamber Award; Mark Micheletti-Chairman’s Award; and Lynn Cheney and Amanda Petree-Rising Star Award. The Dr. Haden McKay Citizen of the Year Award was presented to Jess Fields for whom the award is especially poignant as his father, Jack Fields, Sr., was named Citizen of the Year in 1972 and his brother, Jack, Jr., received the award in 2001. Congratulations to all!
