Out and About - "The Pokeno Divas do New Orleans..."
The Pokeno Divas do New Orleans at Windsor Court! The group, which includes Gina Remmes, Joan Clinton, Kathleen Labbe, Jennifer Arthur, Dawn Holder, Elizabeth Daughtery and Susan Tillinghast, do an annual trip every year for the last 17 years and this year it went Cajun! There were walking tours of food and ghosts, eating and shopping and more eating. They enjoyed a few drinks (maybe more than a few) and even made it to Hotel Monteleone’s Carousel Bar. Who says you can’t drink and spin! They discovered that Tea at Le Salon at Windsor Court doesn’t have to be just tea. Cafe du Monde didn’t disappoint, nor did Commander’s Palace, where the martinis were only 25 cents. Shopping on Magazine Street and in Lafayette filled the cars with lots of treasures. The prize for the most luggage once again goes to Kathleen Labbe!
