So, how was everyone’s Easter Sunday/April Fools Day? We ended up having to work about six hours or so on Easter Sunday, and I thought I’d share how my day started. Went to the 7 a.m. Mass, stopped at the store on the way home, got a head start on that meat-filled menu for what was supposed to be our Easter lunch before finding out we had an appointment in a couple of hours. Started sending and receiving Easter greetings from family around the world while in the car on our way to our meeting when I got a phone call from one of my aunts in Australia – who wanted to let us know that their flight came in early into Bush International. No hurry, they still had to find their luggage and were trying not to snack since they knew I was probably preparing a huge Easter lunch. Cue my freakout – yelling at Daniel to turn the car around! How could we possibly have forgotten that I had family coming to stay! I needed to clean the house, get rooms ready! I needed more meat for Easter lunch! About 45 seconds after my aunt’s phone call, she called back. April Fools Day. Ha! Don’t think I’ll be falling for that again.
