Paroled Sex Offender Caught Downloading Child Pornography: Police

HUMBLE, TX -- A 64-year-old man who was on parole for a previous child pornography conviction has been charged with possession of child pornography. Lonnie Huisenga, a registered sex offender from California, was arrested at his home in Humble on Friday.

Officials with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office High Tech Crime Unit announced Huisenga's arrested late Friday.

Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, who worked in cooperation with the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, executed a search warrant at a home in the 7100 block of John Ralston Road.

Investigators received more than 30 cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Childrenover several months that someone in the area was downloading and storing numerous images of child sexual assault in a cloud account.

Police obtained a warrant after a lengthy investigation and on Friday morning, they went to Huisenga's home. Investigators interviewed Huisenga, and provided information leading to the discovery of numerous child pornography images.

He was arrested and charged with three felony counts of possession of child pornography and taken to the Harris County Jail for processing. He is being held without bail.
