Police Arrest Kingwood Man Accused In Stabbing Death

Thomas Henry Rolle, 29, is accused of stabbing 37-year-old Jason Maas to death in a credit union parking lot on Sunday.

KINGWOOD, TX -- HPD Homicide investigators have arrested a 29-year-old Kingwood man for the stabbing death of man outside of a credit union on Sunday.

On Monday police arrested Thomas Henry Rolle, who was wanted for an open murder warrant in Harris County.

Sheriff's deputies were called to the Chartway Credit Union in the 4300 block of FM 1960 West on July 1 for a body found in the parking lot.

When deputies arrived, they found the man face-down in the parking lot, who appeared to have been stabbed several times.

The man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was identified as 37-year-old Jason Maas.

Investigators said that Maas lived at a nearby motel has revealed that Maas lived at nearby in a motel.

During the investigation, police learned that Rolle was involved in a relationship with Maas' soon-to-be former wife.

According to a Houston Chronicle report, Maas played a prank on Rolle by taking and hiding Rolle's identification as well as a car that Rolle and Maas wife were using.

During the investigation, witnesses who were with Rolle and Maas confirmed the prank and subsequent dispute leading up to the stabbing.

Investigators arrested Rolle in Kingwood, and he is being held in the Harris County Jail without bond.
