Sports is the star of Frisco – but much more awaits

Travel story by Cynthia Calvert

Frisco, also known as Sports City U.S.A., is home to five professional sports teams. The Dallas Cowboys, FC Dallas, Frisco Rough Riders, Texas Legends and Dallas Stars all call Frisco home. As one might imagine, it takes an army to keep this Sports City alive and thriving.

With state-of-the-art facilities like The Star, Toyota Stadium and Dr Pepper Ballpark, there are plenty of places for star athletes to play and for their spectators to watch. Yet sports aren’t all you will find in Frisco. An average of approximately 8-10,000 people flock to Frisco each month as corporations continue to move their headquarters to this north Texas town. Even at this staggering rate, only 60 percent of the city has been built. There is plenty of room to grow as companies like Toyota and Jamba Juice move to the area. Sports and business aside, Frisco has made plenty of room for recreation. Here you will also find high-end shopping, spas and restaurants as well as a championship golf course, the National Videogame Museum and more. Read full travel story at OurTribune.com.
