Star Struck - How Far Can You See?

Star Struck - How Far Can You See?

One question we hear at the observatory is “How far can you see with that telescope?” What determines which objects you see is how bright and far away they are. Brighter objects are visible at greater distances. You can see car headlights 10 miles away, but a candle would be invisible. It is too faint to see at that distance; enough photons do not make it to your eye.
