Now is one of those rare times when all of the major planets are visible in the evening sky. At 9 p.m., Mercury is fairly faint and low in the west. Venus is a bit higher to the left, and very bright. The bright object in the south is Jupiter; Saturn, notably yellow, is low and in the southeast. To see the Earth, look near your feet. Mars is the only naked-eye planet missing. It will be quite bright and reddish, rising in the east at about 10:15 p.m.
