Allen takes gold, silver, bronze at state track meet
Kingwood Park senior Jacob Allen won the state championship in the 100-meter dash wheelchair event at the UIL Class 5A State Track and Field Championships at Mike Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas in Austin. Allen won the state title with a time of 17.2 seconds.
Kingwood Park senior Jacob Allen added to his collection of medals after winning first, second and third place at the 5A State Track and Field competition. He won the silver medal by finishing second in the 400 meters (56.49), just 2/10s of a second behind the first-place finisher, and also earned a bronze medal with a third-place finish in the shot put (23-4.25).
