Suspected Car Thief Arrested After Eluding Cops For 2-Hours
Houston man faces felony charges after stealing a pickup and evading police early Monday.

HUMBLE, TX — A man who stole a pickup and eluded police for two hours, was arrested. Police were called after a pickup was reported stolen during an robbery.
Houston Police spotted the pickup at about 3 a.m. Monday on Tidwell Road and Berkshire Street and tried to pull the driver over.
The driver refused to stop and led police north on Interstate 69 to Loop 494 in Kingwood, police said.
During the pursuit, the driver lost control and crash into a tree on Loop 494, and fled on foot into a heavily wooded area.

Police, along with K9 officers, began a methodical search of the area and after about two hours, found the suspect near I-69. He was taken into custody and could face several felony charges.
His identity has not been released.
