Teen Shot At Atascocita High School Was Buying Drugs, Police Said

Mikael Necciosup, 17, is charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly shot a student at Atascocita High School, police said.

ATASCOCITA, TX — An Atascocita High School student who was shot in the school parking lot Thursday night was trying to buy marijuana from another student, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said Friday. The shooting happened at about 6:30 p.m. in the school parking lot, police said.

Officials placed the campus on lock down to protect the 85 students who were on the campus for after school activities.

Witnesses told police that the victim and Mikael Necciosup were arguing in the parking lot when Necciosup allegedly pulled a gun and shot at the teen.

Necciosup fled in a red Chevy Impala but was arrested hours later. He has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police later learned that the 167-year-old was trying to buy marijuana from Necciosup, who is also a student in Humble ISD.

The wounded teen suffered a gunshot wound to his foot and was grazed on his torso, and is expected to make a full recovery. It's not know if the wounded student will face criminal charges.
