Teen Who Led Police On Chase With ATV Charged With Evading
Reports of a teen on an ATV led to a chase on Interstate 69 is facing felony evading charges, police said.

HUMBLE, TX — A 15-year-old boy who led Humble Police on a chase on U.S. 59 on a 4-wheeler on Thursday is facing felony evading charges. The juvenile, who was not identified because of his age, is in custody at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
Officials with the Humble Police Department received a phone call at about 9: 30 a.m. about a teen who was riding an ATV on side streets near Humble High School.
When police spotted the teen and tried to pull him over, he fled from police. Officers followed the teen, and eventually he ended up on the Eastex Freeway.

Typically, ATV’s have a top speed of 50 miles per hour, which is well below the posted speed limit on the Eastex Freeway.
Police said they were concerned about the boy’s safety and stay back. The pursuit continued until the teen exited FM 1314 and voluntarily surrendered, police said.
