Humble ISD elementary students color the placemats beforehand, and there will be local entertainment and a Kid’s Corner.
The event was started by a committee of five women who attended First United Methodist Church, said Chairman Bonnie Gardner. During the first feast around 900 people were served. It is dine-in only with no take-out, to encourage everyone to mingle with volunteers, sponsors and community members. Delivery is available for those who live in Humble but are unable to attend.
