City Of Frisco: Frisco City Council Approves January 29 Special Election To Fill Vacancy

(December 8, 2021) At Tuesday night’s meeting, Frisco City Council members approved calling a Special Election on January 29, 2022, to fill an unexpired term for Place 5. The vacancy is a result of a council member’s announcement to seek a county-level office. The current term for Place 5 expires in May 2023.

Candidates interested in running for office in the Special Election can download a candidate packet here. The packet includes information on eligibility requirements, important dates and required forms. The deadline to file for a place on the ballot is Monday, December 20 at 5 p.m. 

 Early voting for the Special Election begins Wednesday, January 12. The last day of early voting is Tuesday, January 25.
