Budweiser Astros Commercial Encapsulates Last 9 Weeks In Houston

WATCH: The beer giant tips its hat to Houstonians and Texans alike for resiliency and being HoustonStrong through 'hell and high water'

HOUSTON, TX — It's no secret Houston and the entire Texas coast went through hell and high water when Hurricane Harvey made landfall. It destroyed Rockport and the Coastal Bend with its damaging 130 mph winds. It flooded everything from Houston to Louisiana, dumping more than 50 inches of rain in some spots. But Texans pulled through, many often helping others while their own homes and lives were shattered.

So when the Houston Astros knocked off three all-time heavyweight baseball teams — Red Sox, Yankees and Dodgers — to clinch the team's first-ever World Series, the celebration could be felt all over Texas. Though many are still recovering from Harvey, the term Houston Strong never felt so good on Wednesday when the Astros won Game 7 of the World Series, 5-1 — at Dodger Stadium.

The celebration has been going on for days and will continue probably until Opening Day next spring. Meanwhile, Budweiser, known for some emotional and sometimes tear-jerking commercials, produced another great spot. Sure, they're trying to hawk beer and other Bud products, but they paid great homage to the Bayou City, which they say in the video went through "hell and high water."
