Get on Santa’s “Nice” List and Join Santa Hustle Galveston!

Grab a group and join the jolly fun at the Galveston Santa Hustle Half Marathon, 5K and Kids Dash Sunday, December 17 at Beach Central. The event kicks off at 7:30 a.m. when youth participants will dash through the course, followed by the half marathon at 8 a.m. and the 5K at 8:15 a.m. Individuals who register for either race through August receive $15 off registration. Event proceeds will benefit the nonprofit, Galveston County Food Bank.

Adult participants can jingle all the way to the finish line in fleece hoodies and headbands included with registration, and they can add a Santa or Mrs. Claus costume to their registration. Cookie and candy stations, along with holiday music and cheer, will fill the course along Galveston’s popular event venue.

“This event has something for everyone, no matter their age or fitness level,” said Aaron Del Mar, SHRS founder. “Runners, walkers, and even moms and dads with little ones in strollers are all invited to participate and create new holiday traditions.”

Since the holiday season is the perfect time to give back, event proceeds will benefit nonprofit Galveston County Food Bank, whose mission is to lead the fight to end hunger in Galveston County.

Awards and customized Santa Hustle medals will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group, and all participants who cross the finish line will receive a finishers medal.
