Astros Can Wrap Up ALDS Against Red Sox This Afternoon
Brad Peacock takes the mound for Houston in Game 3 at Boston's Fenway Park; Game starts at 1:30 p.m. today

HOUSTON, TX — Houston sports fans have a full plate today with the help of a little luck from the schedule makers. The Houston Astros play Game 3 of the American League Division Series in the afternoon and can wrap up the series, and the Houston Texans host the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.
Brad Peacock will take the mound for the Astros as they play the Boston Red Sox at 1:35 p.m. Sunday afternoon. For those who can't make the game-watching party at Minute Maid Park, the game will be broadcast on the FS1 Network and streamed online. Doug Fister will be the starting pitcher for the Red Sox.
Houston absolutely obliterated the Sox in the first two games with 8-2 romps in each outing. The Houston bats got it going early in both game, each time scoring two runs in the first inning. Second baseman Jose Altuve hit three home runs in Game 1, becoming just the 10th player in Major League Baseball history to hit three homers in one playoff game. (Note: Babe Ruth is the only to achieve it twice)

Peacock has a 13-2 record and 3.00 ERA and 161 strikeouts on the season. He won his only start against Boston this season on Sept. 28 at Fenway Park, going five innings and allowing just two runs. Boston's Fister is 5-9 this year with a 4.88 ERA and 83 strikeouts. He's notched eight career postseason starts, but this will be his first since 2014.
Houston holds the edge in the best-of-5 series, needing just one win to advance to the American league Championship Series against either the Cleveland Indians or New York Yankees. Like Houston, the Indians hold a 2-0 lead in that ALDS.
