Astros Playoff Tickets On Sale As Team Tries To Clinch Home Field

Here's where to get tickets that start at $35 apiece for the outfield deck in the American League Divisional Series

HOUSTON, TX — Playoff tickets for the Houston Astros American League Divisional Series (ALDS) playoffs have gone on sale after the Astros defeated Seattle, 7-1, on Sunday to clinch the American League West title. It's Houston's first divisional title since the 2001 season and first playoff appearance since the 2015 season. The ALDS begins on Thursday, Oct. 5 against an opponent to be determined.

The Astros have a 91-58 record going into Tuesday night's game at Minute Maid Park against the Chicago White Sox. The Astros are a game and a half behind the Cleveland Indians (AL Central) for the best record in the American League and four games ahead of the Boston Red Sox (AL East). There are 13 games remaining in the regular season to determine playoff seedings and which teams will get to host games 1 and 2 of the ALDS.

In Major League Baseball (MLB), each division winner makes the playoffs and the next two teams with the best record play a one-game wild card playoff to determine the fourth divisional playoff team. Should the Astros finish regular season with the first- or second-best record, then they'll host the first two games (Oct. 5-6) at Minute Maid Park. Should they finish third-best, they would travel the first two in the best-of-5 series.
