Houston-Area President's Day Closings: What You Need To Know

Garbage pick-up will take place, and most city and county government offices will remain open on Monday.

President's Day will be observed on Monday, Feb. 20, and federal and state offices and courts will be closed, but most city and county offices will conduct business as usual.

HISD school will hold classes, but Pasadena, Conroe, Montgomery, Katy, Cypress-Fairbanks, Tomball, Spring, Klein, Fort Bend, Lamar Consolidated, and Humble ISD and Stafford MSD schools will be closed.

In addition, Metro buses, MetroRail, and HOV lanes will be operating, and trash will be picked up on normal weekly schedules.

There will be no USPS mail delivery on Monday, and most banks will be closed as well.

For those wanting to shop on Monday, have no fear, because all stores will be open as usual, as will supermarkets, gas stations, movie theaters, and restaurants.
