Houston Man Who Recorded Rape On Smartphone Gets 99 Years
Darias Lacour was convicted on Wednesday for violent assault committed in 2015.

HOUSTON, TX — It was a heinous crime, and the man who carried it out recorded it on his cell phone. He was convicted yesterday in a court here, and it took the jury a brief 15 minutes to deliberate.
Darius Lacour, 30, was found guilty of aggravated sexual assault and sentenced to 99 years in prison by Robert Johnson, a state district judge.
In 2015, an officer with the Houston Police Department came upon a car parked on Press Street and noticed an altercation taking place in the vehicle. He discovered Lacour was assaulting a woman, who testified against her attacker during the four-day trial.

"See what you've made me do. Now you've made me mess up your pretty face," the woman testified that Lacour told her in the car, as reported by the Houston Chronicle. "You should have just done what I said."
Evidence used in the trial included a recording of the assault made by Lacour on his smartphone.
