Houston Texans owner Robert McNair was listed as the 21st richest in America at a worth of $3.8 billion and Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta checked in as the 26th richest at $3.5 billion.

McNair is a leading businessman, sportsman and philanthropist in the city of Houston for more than 50 years, is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of the Houston Texans. McNair is perhaps best known in the business community as the founder of Cogen Technologies, which was sold in 1999.

On Oct. 6, 1999, the NFL announced that the 32nd NFL franchise had been awarded to McNair, returning professional football to the city of Houston in 2002. McNair’s efforts and influence have also played an integral role in bringing two Super Bowls to Reliant Stadium: Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004 and Super Bowl LI in 2017 — both wins by the New England Patriots.
