Rice Village Restaurant Calls It Quits After One Year
Little Liberty follows in the footsteps of the Heights' Arthur Ave, which announced last week that it was closing.

HOUSTON, TX — Another week, another restaurant closing.
The Houston-based F.E.E.D. TX Restaurant Group closed Little Liberty in Rice Village on Sunday, a little more than a year after it opened.
The space occupied by Little Liberty will be taken over by an Island Grill restaurant, which is owned by Faisal Haddad.

Will Davis, a partner at F.E.E.D. TX, told Houston Business Journal that the decision to close the Rice Little Liberty was solely the result of having found a buyer.
"The timing (of the closing) just has to do with having a buyer," he said. "We're genuinely excited for him to take it over."

Last week, Arthur Ave, which opened in 2016, announced it would serve its final dish on March 19.
F.E.E.D. TX Group said it is not planning to close any of its other properties, which include Liberty Kitchen locations in the Galleria area, the Heights, Garden Oaks and near Memorial City Mall.
"2017 will be a year of focusing on our execution, catering and customer service," Davis said.
No information was available about when Haddad planned to open the Island Grill that's taking over Little Liberty Rice Village's space.
