Texas, Missouri Square Off In Texas Bowl Tonight
Kickoff set for 8 p.m. at NRG Stadium tonight as the Longhorns return to a bowl game for the first time in three years.

HOUSTON, TX — The Texas Longhorns are coming back to Houston, and once again it's for the Texas Bowl. The Longhorns (6-6) will face the Missouri Tigers (7-5) in the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl tonight at NRG Stadium. The game will have an 8 p.m. kickoff on ESPN.
Texas last played the Texas Bowl in 2014 at the conclusion of then-coach Charlie Strong's first season on The 40 Acres. After losing seasons in 2015 and 2016, Texas fired Strong and hired away Tom Herman from the University of Houston, who brings the Horns back to their first bowl game in three years in his first season.
Texas lost to Arkansas, 31-7, in that 2014 game.
