2 Aggravated Robbery Suspects Sought By Austin Police
Law enforcement officials seek help from the public in identifying a pair of suspects wanted in connection to a North Austin store robbery.
AUSTIN, TX — The Austin Police Department is seeking help from the public in identifying two suspects wanted in connection to an aggravated robbery that occurred late last month, officials said on Monday.
The incident occurred Sept. 30 at around 3:30 a.m. at a 7-Eleven store on 13641 North Interstate 35, police said in an advisory. The suspects were captured on surveillance camera loitering outside the front entrance of the store for about 30 minutes before the robbery, police wrote in a report. Video footage shows a number of customers — potential witnesses, police noted — entering and exiting the convenience store during that period of time.
The men later entered the store once it was empty of customers, during which time one of the suspects approached the counter while pointing a black, semi-automatic-style handgun at the clerk as he demanded money, according to police. The suspect removed money from the cash register while the other man — also captured on video with a similar handgun secured to his waistband — acted as a lookout, police said.
