5 Suspects Sought In Austin Convenience Store Robbery
Police said the suspects followed the victim to a home where he was attacked and robbed before being able to call 9-1-1.
AUSTIN, TX — Police on Friday asked for help from the public in identifying five suspects involved in a convenience store robbery over the weekend.
The incident occurred on Sunday, June 21, at aroud 2 a.m. along the 12700 block of Blaine Road, police said in an emailed advisory. The incident began at a 7-Eleven store located at 1625 E. Parmer Lane when the five suspects approached the victim in the parking lot of the store. Police said one of the suspects followed the victim into the store.
After leaving the store, police said, the suspects then followed the victim to a house at the Blaine Road location before assaulting and robbing the man. The victim crawled to the front door of the home after regaining consciousness before calling 9-1-1, police said. He was subsquently treated and released from an area hospital, police added.

The suspects may have been in a dark-colored 4-door sedan, police noted. Police released surveillance camera images in the hopes someone might recognize the suspects to alert police as to their possible whereabouts.

Detectives described the suspects as follows:
Suspect #1:
- Black male.
- Short dreads with light colored tips
- Last seen wearing a white polo, white shoes and jeans.
Suspect #2
- Dark-skinned Black male.
- Shoulder-length dreads.
- Heavy build.
- Last seen wearing black shirt and black shorts.
Suspect #3:
- Black or Hispanic male.
- Short hair.
- Heavy build.
- Last seen wearing white tank top and shorts with Nike-type slides.
Suspect #4
- Black male.
- Mid-length afro, facial hair.
- Last seen wearing white tank top and rainbow-colored shorts.
Suspect #5
- Black male.
- Short hair, facial hair.
- Thin build.
- Last seen wearing black shirt and red and black shorts.
