Annual Mardi Gras Dog Parade Features Best Dressed Pup Award

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Nothing says party like Mardi Gras and pups! The Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co. invite you and your pup(s) to the 5th Annual Mardi Gras Dog Parade to laissez les bon temps roulez! As in previous years, the event promises to be memorable and fun with a full afternoon of celebration.

Scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m., the event will give pup owners to enter their fur babies in a costume contest for a chance to take top honors in the best dressed contest. There will be judges walking throughout the crowd at the event, so participants are encouraged to come dressed to impress and "bark for beads".

The Mardi Gras Dog Parade will advance awareness and raise funds for Pug Rescue Austin with representatives onsite to collect donations. Attendees will also have the chance to adopt lovable and deserving pugs at the event.

The parade kicks off at 4 p.m. and all dogs are eligible for participate and have a great time! The ABGB parking lot will be the site of the parade, where participants will make their way around a lap behind a Second Line marching band to get the party going. There will be live music by Jimmie Dreams & the Crescent Soul Revue, and delicious food with a special menu of tasty creations by Chef Tim (gumbo, andouille, King Cake, etc). For more click HERE.
