Austin Cave Festival To Feature Live Music, Exploration, Fun
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center will host its Austin Cave Festival featuring free, family fun and cave tour adventures.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Nature lovers will have a unique and memorable opportunity to explore Austin caves to learn about the Edwards Aquifer, Barton Springs, cave-dwelling animals and more at the Austin Cave Festival hosted by the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center on Sunday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The FREE, family-friendly event will be a great opportunity to try hands-on activities and discover what cave exploration is all about.
The event will feature a cave simulator, science and adventure presentations, live music and more to enjoy. There will be opportunities to visit two caves with limited capacity, for ages 5 and up, and check out how water passes through the Edwards Aquifer making its way to Barton Springs. Participants will also have a chance to try on caving gear and learn ways to protect and conserve Austin's water resources.
There will not be pre-registration offered for cave tours, rather, registration will be on-site, on a first come, first serve basis. For more details visit www.austincavefestival.org.
